What is BSV?

Brazil at Silicon Valley (BSV) is a student-led nonprofit that connects Brazil’s most ambitious leaders with Silicon Valley’s technology, capital, and ideas. Conceived by Rodrigo Xavier and founded in 2019 by a group of students at Stanford and UC Berkeley, BSV has grown into a year-round platform built on four pillars: a flagship annual conference, a global fellows network, original content and thought leadership, and a permanent bridge between two ecosystems that rarely share the same stage.

Everything we do serves a single purpose: to position Brazil as a serious actor in the global technology conversation — and to create the spaces where that happens.

The Conference

Our annual event is an invite-only gathering built around quality of audience, depth of content, and density of meaningful connections. The most recent edition brought together 850+ participants, including 450 CEOs, partners, and founders; 250 C-level executives; and leaders from government, academia, and media — earning a 9.4/10 recommendation score.

Each edition is organized around a unifying theme that reflects structural shifts in technology and society: from Reinventing Intelligence (2024) and Embracing Resilience (2025) to Beyond Human Scale (2026).
